Job Summary:
This position is accountable to provide therapy services to patients, including treatment, program implementation, related documentation, communication with other disciplines and services, and staff supervision as agreed. Staff cares for all age groups from infants to elderly and is aware of the developmental needs over the age span and the appropriate equipment for all ages. This position must demonstrate a commitment of quality service to our patients, the public and our co-workers.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities (include percentage of time spent on each):
Administers therapy care programs or portions thereof, as planned and directed by a Registered Licensed Physical Therapist.
Completes documentation of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services (PM&RS) Department patients.
Represents PM&R at assigned meetings.
Complies with established physical medicine and rehabilitation therapy standards.
Maintains established PM&R Departmental productivity standards.
Supervises therapy personnel as assigned.
Carries out a program of corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients as determined by evaluation performed by an occupational/physical therapist.
Follows safety and universal precautions.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Associate Degree Program.
Eligible member of APTA.
Virginia State license required
Professional competency as a general practitioner as defined by the APTA.
